Thai Peanut Sesame Noodles


  • 3 Tablespoons Peanut Butter
  • 3 Tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha chili sauce
  • 8 oz of rice noodles
  • 1 bag of frozen prawns, tails removed
  • Green onions for garnish
  • Crushed peanuts for garnish


  1. Cook the noodles in a large pot according to package directions.
  2. While the noodles are cooking, in a medium sauce pan whisk together peanut butter, soy sauce, sesame oil, ½ cup chicken broth, minced garlic, ginger, sriracha chili sauce and prawns. Cook over medium heat until prawns are pink. Remove from the heat and set aside.
  3. Drain the noodles and toss in the peanut sesame sauce.
  4. Garnish with green onions and serve immediately.

Lessons Learned:

  • I used Chinese cooking wine instead of chicken broth
  • And udon noodles instead of rice noodles
  • Only made one meal but it was good
